Adult literacy is still a very significant issue for Irish Society. According to the most recent survey almost 500,000 adults have literacy difficulties along with up to 30% of primary school children from disadvantaged areas.

The National Adult Literacy Agency believes that it is a fundamental human right for all adults to develop their literacy and numeracy skills but we need your help.

To effectively tackle adult literacy difficulties in Ireland we need to work at many different levels. We need to get literacy learning into our workplaces, homes, communities and social settings.

We will ensure your donation is used to make sure people with literacy difficulties can fully take part in society and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs.
