Written Off? 2009, Programme 5, May 4
In programme 5, work on assessments continues as the students show how far they've come in five short weeks. Apart from their reading and writing skills, the students talk about how much more confidence they have and how they are no longer afraid to talk about the difficulties they have with literacy.
This has had a large impact in their lives and we see how Ann Trinder now reads with her grandson and Ann Boyd is not afraid to take minutes of meetings.
They also get a chance to practise their interview skills in mock interviews with Dragon's Den star, Sarah Newman. Peter and Anne Aherne take this a step further by going for their own real job interviews.
Stephen O' Neill returns to see how the group are getting on and Constance Harris visits to talk about how what you wear can create an impression.
