Written Off? 2009, Programme 2, April 13
In programme 2, we learn a little more about some of the students, particularly Ifrah, James, Ann Boyd and Anne Aherne. Work emerges as a main reason for many people to return to learning as they hope by improving their skills, they will be able to change job or improve their current situation.
We also find out how some people manage to hide their problems with reading and writing for many years from those people closest to them.
The fun continues as the students start a weekly football pools competition that builds on their reading and writing work, and writer Don Mullan visits to talk about dyslexia and his own career.
