Literacy Awareness Training

NALA provides a Literacy Awareness Training service to organisations. It can be a one-day or half-day session. We customise the session to suit the organisations’ needs.
The aim of the session is to raise awareness of adult literacy issues, explore ways of responding and develop solutions within the specific context. The outline includes:
- What is literacy?
- Nature and extent of literacy difficulties
- Causes and effects
- National response and policy
- Appropriate solutions in your context
Organisations who NALA have recently delivered a literacy awareness input or session to are:
- Trainee solicitors at the Law Society of Ireland
- The Homeless Agency
- The Library Council
- Irish Centre for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education (ICCPE)
The cost of a full day’s training is €900 for businesses, large organisations and state agencies and €710 for community and voluntary sector organisations. Half day prices are available also. To book a training day with NALA, please click here.
