Free plain english training for the health sector

MSD and the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) would like to invite you to an afternoon seminar, where there will be a presentation of the first ever results from the Ireland EU Health Literacy Survey. This will be followed by free plain English and literacy awareness training for employees in the health sector.

3.00 – 5.00: Free plain English and health literacy training workshops
At the seminar Dr Gerardine Doyle will present the findings of the EU's first survey on the extent of the problem of health literacy, its impact on the health of the Irish people and the importance of clear communications with the public.
To mark the launch of the results of the first ever EU Health Literacy Survey, NALA, supported by MSD, will be offering free Plain English training specifically for health care professionals and advocacy groups. Spaces are limited so advance booking is advised.
The event also marks the launch of the 5th annual Crystal Clear MSD Health Literacy Awards. Previous award winners will be on hand to talk about their entries, share best practice and help you with any potential entries.
