Welcome to

Move with Literacy. This resource has been designed to be used by adult

literacy students and their tutors as well as adult and youth educators who lead sport and

physical activity.

Move with Literacy contains lots of information and fun literacy and

numeracy activities about many of the sports and physical activities that we take part in.

You will find lots of useful tips and advice on how to get fit and lots of information on

planning physical activity sessions.

Move with Literacy also contains contact details for all

the local Sports Partnerships in Ireland, advice on how to find out more about getting

started in physical activity and useful websites that you might want to visit

A NALA Resource Pack for Vocational Education and Training Programmes.

Safe and Well is a basic education pack dealing with health and safety issues.

The pack was produced by FÁS and the National Adult Literacy Agency, with the support of the Health and Safety Authority.

It was funded through a Workplace Basic Education Fund (WBEF) set up by the Irish Government under the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

This workbook is designed to be used along with the radio series Time 4 Learning. This workbook has 10 sections based on the 10 radio
programmes. 

Each programme will deal with 3 areas:
1. Numbers for Living
2. Understanding the Time
3. Using Money

There are 9 worksheets for each programme, 3 on each of the above areas. Some worksheets are used as you listen to the programme, the others are for you to practice on later. It will start at the beginning with the basics. If you are past this stage, stay with it, it will get more difficult.

This pack is follow-on from The Big Picture (book 1). It is aimed at ESOL tutors and learners in Ireland.
The materials range in level from beginner ESOL learners, through to exercises for higher-level learners, so that tutors may teach the same theme in a mixed-level class.
